The law belongs to everyone it binds
GH Law Database started in 2019 in a chambers library in Accra, where three young lawyers spent more time hunting for photocopied judgments than reading them.
We set out to build the library we wished we had: every Ghanaian judgment and statute, verified, linked and searchable from a phone. Today our editors, engineers and researchers serve chambers, courts, companies and students across all sixteen regions.

What we hold ourselves to
Accuracy before speed
A judgment goes online only after it has been checked against the certified copy. Fast and wrong is worse than slow.
Ghanaian law, read in context
Our editors are Ghanaian lawyers. They know which cases bind, which have been quietly doubted, and which statutes are still in force.
Open where it matters
The Constitution and every Act in force are free to read for any visitor. Access to the law should not depend on a subscription.
